Example Designing assessment using knowledge of the curriculum I created the this learning sequence and taught it during my third year placement. The relevant ACARA achievement standards included: - explain what the three levels of Australian Government are and identify their roles and responsibilities - describe the roles of parliament in regards to creating new laws - identify the process in which new laws are created The content taught allowed me to design an appropriate formative assessment (see below). Following this, I was able to design an appropriate subsequent summative assessment (not included in the below unit overview).
Example Mathematics- development of a summative assessment task Year five students completed the work sheets below during my final teaching placement. These worksheets formed part of a summative assessment task for a decimal unit of work. The assessment designed related directly to ACARA outcomes and the content taught.
