Teaching Philosophy
I believe teachers:
- should be passionate and dedicated to their work
- play an integral part in the development of students
- must understand the importance of their profession and the impact it can have on students and their development in life
- should be well organised and disciplined in their professional approach
- should be a good role model and set examples of good behaviour, not only in the classroom but in their daily lives also
- should provide a safe and child centred environment for students at all times
- should provide a disciplined but fair classroom environment for all students
- should provide fun and exciting learning approaches and lesson plans so that all students can engage in classroom activities
- should enhance the students learning through their positive energy and outlook
- should listen to their students and be guided by their different learning capabilities
- must understand the different types of students and their gradual learning progression
- must continually evolve and improve their teaching techniques as they gain more experience and knowledge
- should constantly reflect on their professional development and always seek ways to improve classroom learning
- should acknowledge that although lessons may work well and flow smoothly there is always room for improvement to benefit not only the students but the teacher also
